Welcome to TWiP (aka This Week in Pictures).
I wrote a whole long “Why I Want to Start Doing This” kind of post, but then I decided it doesn’t really matter why. It’s funny how often I do that – write six or seven paragraphs only to decide I’d rather spare you the misery of slogging through them.
Ah well. Here’s the short version: I’m going to start posting my week’s Project 365 photos and Instagram photos here. I want to bring some of the stuff I share on social media back to the blog, and a weekly roundup feels like the way to do just that.
So here we go. In posting these pictures, I noticed a theme to this week: crochet in mint green.
BTW, my Project 365 this year has changing monthly themes. June is “details.”
Saturday
365: Details 14/30 – Fancy facings – Sewing tonight. I had this shift dress in mind for weeks – a light blue cotton with red gingham bias binding inside the sleeves and neckline. The finished project leaves a lot to be desired, unfortunately, but I can wear it around the house if nothing else!
Sunday
365: Details 15/30 – Nighttime Snack
Monday
365: Details 16/30 – Crochet – This vest is working up very quickly. I’m having second thoughts about this color, though. I think I’ll be over-dying it something dark when it’s finished 🙂
Tuesday
365: Details 17/30 – Inches
Wednesday
365: Details 18/30 – Ice cubes – I’ve heard you’re not supposed to chill white wine, but I am a rebel.
Thursday
365: Details 19/30 – Argh! – Dear Beloved Van, You know I have always had a major soft spot for you, but lately you are making yourself harder and harder to love. In fact, I sometimes find myself fantasizing about a younger model. There. I said it. Pull yourself together, darling! We can’t go on like this much longer. I’ve bookmarked a used car site online. Don’t make me use it. With love, Me
Friday
365: Details 20/30 – Completed vest – It’s finished and I love it. I’m going with my original instinct, though, and dying it something dark. I love this color, but it looks more like a baby blanket than a vest. Blog post coming soon(er or later).
Thanks for taking a peek at this week’s photos. If you have any suggestions for this series, or if you would like me to elaborate on anything I showed you here, don’t hesitate to leave a comment!
I love the short order cook paper
It was fun. And it was a good idea, since there might have been grumbling if I had surprised them with leftovers. We all knew what we were getting ahead of time 🙂 I may have to do it again sometime.
I sometimes put ice in white wine too 🙂
I’m only a recent convert to wine. It has to be white, sweet, and cold, LOL!
congratulations on your article! 😀
love seeing your pretty face 🙂
Aw, thanks! On both counts 🙂
