This was the Sussex County Sunflower Maze at Liberty Farms in Branchville, NJ.

It was such a great place for photography. I took 101 pictures! I probably would have taken the time to get more artistic and really play around if it hadn’t felt like I was being broiled out there in the hot sun. It was really, really hot, and there was no shade to speak of.

Even so, I’m really happy with the pictures I did get. Maybe we can go back some year when it’s not ninety degrees!

Also? This completely makes up for my bad luck with the zinnias.

I knew before I even went there that some picture I took would become the cover for a new playlist 🙂

This one is called Sunflower Fields, and you can listen to it below or at 8tracks.

Sunflower Fields from lclarke522 on 8tracks Radio.

It starts off very folky (even kind of twangy, which is not my favorite sound, but I can forgive it if I like everything else about a song). Here’s the full playlist, if you’re interested:

1: The Weepies – Sunflower
2: Von Strantz – Fields
3: Dala – Levi Blues
4: Simon & Garfunkel – Leaves That Are Green
5: Chadwick Stokes – I Want You Like a Seatbelt
6: Vinyl Pinups – Gold Rays
7: The Mowgli’s – Clean Light
8: Alessi’s Ark – Memory Box
9: Andrew McMahon in the Wilderness – Canyon Moon
10: Neil Young – Harvest Moon
11: Beck – Blue Moon
12: Laura Veirs – Galaxies
13: Neil Finn – Dizzy Heights
14: Laura Marling – Divine
15: Kishi Bashi – Bright Whites
16: Empire Of The Sun – We Are the People
17: Magic Man – Paris
18: Saint Motel – My Type
19: Bronze Radio Return – Broken Ocean
20: Of Monsters And Men – Crystals
21: Danger Mouse – Black (feat. Norah Jones)
22: Angus & Julia Stone – Silver Coin
23: Blind Pilot – Always

Happy Listening! Feel free to let me know what you think, and if you have any other ideas for playlists in the future (themes, etc.) let me know! I usually just do vaguely seasonal themes, but I might be up for a musical challenge 🙂
